Yuna had nowhere to go when the war hit.
She had been kept illegally in captivity in a tiny concrete enclosure—just three by four metres—most likely for breeding. Over time, she became overweight, developed painful wounds from the cold concrete, and grew too weak to even stand.
When heavy shelling struck the Kyiv region, debris fell close to her enclosure. The blast caused Yuna to suffer a life‑threatening concussion, leaving her disoriented and terrified.
Thanks to supporters like you, she was rescued, treated, and brought to safety. Today, Yuna is recovering in a new home—finally able to walk, explore, and live the peaceful life she deserves.
